| The course is one element of the enrichment
sequence typically taken by Pine Crest students in the 9th grade. It
is a requirement for graduation. It aims at developing a student's
ability to communicate verbally with an audience. By introducing
each student to a variety of speaking situations and goals, the course
provides students with the knowledge, confidence and experience necessary
to confront rather than avoid the public speaking opportunities they will
encounter throughout life. Each student will organize, prepare and
deliver seven speeches during the two-week course. |
